Kudzu Infestation
in Massachusetts
Current Kudzu Coverage in Massachusetts
Kudzu coverage in Massachusetts is considered a localized problem, with sightings primarily reported in the state's eastern half. While kudzu is a well-known invasive species in the southeastern United States, its ability to survive harsh New England winters is limited, and its presence in Massachusetts is relatively recent. The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) is actively working to eradicate kudzu in the state.
