Kudzu Infestation
in New Jersey
Current Kudzu Coverage in New Jersey
In 2023, kudzu was not yet widely established in New Jersey and was considered an emerging invasive species. However, it was estimated that there were about 20 populations of the vine in the state, ranging from Warren County to Cape May County. The New Jersey Invasive Species Strike Team was working to eradicate these populations to prevent them from becoming permanent.
