Current Kudzu Coverage in West Virginia
In 2023, kudzu coverage in West Virginia was extensive, with the invasive vine found in more than half of the state's counties. It was particularly aggressive in southern West Virginia, where it could cover five acres or more patches. In northern West Virginia, patches were generally smaller, often less than one-tenth of an acre.
